Record breaking year for FGS Sixth Form students

It was another record breaking year for FGS Sixth Form students - 100% of all students secured places at top universities, apprenticeships or employment and look forward to the next part of their journey. 

And 2019 saw an increase in A*-A grades - including Anna Myerscough who achieved three A grades and is heading off to the University of Leeds to read Philosophy.

FGS Wellbeing Awarded

Flixton Girls School (FGS), part of the Healthy Learning Trust has successfully completed the Optimus Education and National Children’s Bureau Wellbeing Award.

Pupil wellbeing at school is quite rightly a major concern for teachers and parents. This whole-school award focuses on ‘impact and outcomes’ for pupils and staff, so schools can demonstrate specific and wider impacts of wellbeing policies and interventions.
