We are very proud of the work that we do with primary schools through the Healthy Learning Trust Wellbeing Partnership. Some of the schools have really embraced this work and it is now fully embedded as part of their culture. We have recognised two Trafford Primary schools who are a shining example of this by giving each of them one of the inaugural HLT Partnership Awards
St Mary’s C of E Primary School in Davyhulme are leading the way in the primary setting around Health and Wellbeing. The young people at this school are taught about their emotions and the importance of looking after yourself. They have taken on board the FGS Fitness Friday model and fully embedded it to encompass all aspects of wellbeing including relaxation and yoga.
Kings Road Primary School in Stretford have seen a meteoric rise to the top of their sporting game and are now a Gold School Games Mark School who enter nearly all events available. They have PE and School Sport at the centre their whole School improvement journey with fantastic engagement from all staff.
We would like to congratulate all the pupils and staff at these exceptional schools. Well done!
